Bell Art Group

52+ years and counting…

bell-art-groupThe first committee meeting to form the then Bell & District Art Group was held on Thursday 25th March 1965 in the Bell QCWA rooms.

Over the years the Bell Art Group has painted in many different locations, including members’ homes, en plein air field days, old farmhouses, the annex of the Bell Show pavilion, Bell Historic Railway station, the old Butcher Shop, and the Bluebelles Cafe.

In October 2012 the Bell Bunya Community Centre became our new permanent home.

Workshops

An impressive separate art studio space allows us to continue with the age old tradition of painting on a Thursday as well as providing art workshops conducted by professional tutors.

In 2016, we commenced Junior Art Workshops for children. The junior workshops are held during the school holidays. The workshops aim to expand the creative ability and cultural awareness of children in the Bell region, as well as provide a fun activity for the holidays.
